SketchUp an Option as 3D Modeling Program

There is a wide variety of option when it comes to 3D modeling software, but few good ones but it really doesn't get any easier than SketchUp. You can get good enough result with within a couple hours of starting it for the first time because Modeling in SketchUp is about grabbing your mouse and creating something.

The main advantage and reason why its learning curve is so much favorable than other software is that SketchUp is a surfaces modeler. Everything is made up of thin surfaces. That is why its so great for making models quickly because all you have to focus when working in a model is what it look like because the software is intended for visualization.

Here is a quick how to video that explains it:

One question that is ask a lot is what is architecture, the Oxford Dictionary
defines it this way:

noun
[mass noun]
  1. the art or practice of designing and constructing buildings: schools of architecture and design the style in which a building is designed and constructed, especially with regard to a specific period, place, or culture.
  2. the complex or carefully designed structure of something: the chemical architecture of the human brain the conceptual structure and logical organization of a computer or computer-based system.
so the question arises also if it is an art form or a science.
