SketchUp an Option as 3D Modeling Program


There is a wide variety of option when it comes to 3D modeling software,but few good ones but it really doesn't get any easier than SketchUp. You can get good enough result with within a couple hours of starting it for the first time because Modeling in SketchUp is about grabbing your mouse and creating something.

The main advantage and reason why its learning curve is so much favorable than other software is that SketchUp is a surfaces modeler. Everything is made up of thin surfaces. That is why its so great for making models quickly because all you have to focus when working in a model is what it look like because the software is intended for visualization.

Starting a Model in Sketchup

When it comes to 3d modeling software out all the options out there, Sketchup is the easier one to start if you have no previous knowledge in making your ideas come alive. The best thing about Sketchup 8 is that you can begin modeling in several ways:
  1.  From scratch: upon launching the sofware, you see only a person standing in the middle of the screen.that can be delete giving blank slate to start.
  2.  From a photograph: you can build your model based on a photograph of what you want to build; for this you will need some knowledge of the program.
  3. With another computer file: with SketchUPro you can import CAD (computer-aided drawing) files from other software, useful if you have your project already design in Autocad.
